LEOSA Qualification (H.R. 218)
For Qualified Retired Law Enforcement Officers
Maintain Your Carry Rights
The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (H.R. 218) allows qualified retired and separated law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm nationwide. To maintain this privilege, you must complete an annual firearms qualification administered by a certified instructor.
J Flo Firearms Training provides LEOSA qualifications for retired law enforcement officers in Minnesota.
Instructor Qualifications
Instructor Josh Florell has been a Minnesota Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor since 1999. With 30 years in law enforcement—including 5 years with the Minneapolis Police Department and 25 years as a Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Special Agent—Josh understands the standards and requirements that retired officers must meet.
As the former leader of Minnesota's SWAT team and a firearms instructor at Rasmussen College, Josh has trained hundreds of law enforcement professionals to the highest standards. He brings that same professionalism and attention to detail to every LEOSA qualification.
